Steven is a Fire Protection Engineer-in-Training with nearly four years of experience across
commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. He has experience in fire suppression system design and hydraulic analysis working for an installing contractor. This experience gives him a pragmatic understanding of system constructability.
His passion for fire protection engineering began with his deep interest in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat and mass transfer. This foundation in thermodynamics and fluid behavior provides him with a unique perspective when designing fire protection systems, allowing him to create safe, efficient solutions for complex projects.
Steven’s expertise spans code compliance and fire suppression system design, and he thrives on
finding innovative, practical solutions for complex projects. His collaborative approach with
colleagues and clients ensures that every design is tailored to meet the specific needs of the
project while adhering to strict regulatory standards. Looking ahead, Steven is eager to earn his
PE license, and he plans to take the PE Exam after completing his Master of Engineering in
Engineering Management (focusing on Project Management) in Fall 2025.
Steven is thrilled to be back home in Colorado after a rewarding chapter in Wisconsin. He’s
excited to enjoy the mountains and reconnect with family and friends. Some of his favorite
activities include hitting the slopes, hiking on the weekends, and attending local fire protection
and engineering events.
Steven is dedicated to becoming a licensed Fire Protection Engineer and takes every
opportunity to grow in his field. He actively seeks out challenging projects and is eager to
expand his technical expertise in fire protection engineering. He’s a sponge for knowledge,
soaking up as much as he can from colleagues, seminars, and events
